I got a few dls from Screwgun: 5 by Bloodcount, Sanctified Dreams by Tim Berne and No Tamales on Wednesday by Science Friction (also featuring Berne). and a couple of things from British Progressive Jazz. I'm strongly leaning towards the deal on Greenleaf Music where you can get all their back catalogue (as dls) for $775 - $75. Will ponder a bit longer before, most likely, pulling the trigger. ejp626 Posted May 3, 2024 Report Posted May 3, 2024 I don't know how long the sale will last (perhaps only through this evening), but at the moment, the Greenleaf Music subscription deal on Bandcamp has dropped to $60/year and you get something like 103 back catalogue releases. Crazy! https://glmstore.bandcamp.com/subscription Quote
Dub Modal Posted May 4, 2024 Report Posted May 4, 2024 Thanks for the heads up on Claire Daly. Also picked up some other stuff including the Abdul Wadud solo album and the Mars Williams/Hamid Drake from C vs D. Quote
ejp626 Posted May 5, 2024 Report Posted May 5, 2024 For Greenleaf Music (home of Dave Douglas and others), I got this note: Bandcamp Friday sale will continue through the weekend ! We are keeping this simple: 20% off everything. Code is FAMILIA. Quote
Dub Modal Posted May 5, 2024 Report Posted May 5, 2024 Are the codes baked into purchases made thru the app? I never see any opportunities there to enter them before finalizing a purchase. Quote
Dub Modal Posted May 17, 2024 Report Posted May 17, 2024 Any recs from the Corbett vs Dempsey catalog? The Mars Williams/Hamid Drake album is fucking awesome Quote

I think I may get a few things on Cuneiform, like Out of the Blue by Raoul Bjorkenheim/eCsTaSy and Ghost Surveillance by Algernon (a band from Chicago, that appears to be defunct). It would be better to wait until the next Bandcamp Friday, but it's not until Sept apparently! So I'll probably just get them now. Quote
sonnymax Posted December 6, 2024 Author Report Posted December 6, 2024 It's here! It's Bandcamp Friday, "when your purchase gives more to the artists you adore". I'm going to get the latest by Jonathan Stout, a fantastic swing guitarist. And a recently unearthed live recording from "The Master". Quote
GA Russell Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) Dec. 6 and 7, all MoonJune Records items on Bandcamp will be discounted 15%. Code: 06DECEMBER2024 MoonJune is releasing a new Soft Machine remaster from the mid-70s with Allan Holdsworth that might interest some here: Floating World Live. Kevin Bresnahan Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 I wonder if Bandcamp Friday works when the Bandcamp listing is a record label. For instance, if I buy an LP or CD from the Smoke Sessions page, do the artists get more today or does the Smoke Sessions label get more? Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 30% off discount code for all Cellar Music titles for today only. Use the code 30BCF24 Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 Lucky I bought three from Cellar Music for myself ... I got a shipping notification that said "no later than January 27". That would be really lame if it takes that long. Quote
JSngry Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 https://adamtendler.bandcamp.com/album/inheritances Picked this up after sampling the cuts. I like the composers and this is all new work. Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 Is bandcamp having troubles? I bought an LP during the last bandcamp Friday and it came with a download card. I follow the instructions and the download page just sits there with "Preparing". I then went to try and e-mail them for some help - they don't have any way to contact them. No e-mail. No phone number. I went to their Facebook page and there is no "Message" button. There is literally no way to contact them. This is an odd business practice. I saw a comment on Facebook that I am not alone in this effort. Has anyone successfully contacted them? Quote
mjazzg Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 I have had several successful contacts with BC customer services, two in the last 6 months resolving damaged or non-appearing items. If you go to "Purchases", accessed through your profile picture, on the BC site under each purchase you should see a 'order help' link, follow this and you'll be presented with 5 order help options. It's a different layout on the app but essentially the same steps. In every instance I've used this it's either led to the issue being resolved directly by the seller or if not by BC intervention on my behalf. They like you to contact the seller in the first instance. Quote
sonnymax Posted Monday at 08:47 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 08:47 PM (edited) The next Bandcamp Friday is this week on the 7th. So what will you spend your hard-earned bread on? Edited Monday at 08:48 PM by sonnymax Quote
Niko Posted Monday at 09:31 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:31 PM Good one... One album I bought this month and can strongly recommend is the new Alexandra Grimal / Giovanni di Domenico album Shakkei... Quote
felser Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM Bought download of the Gato Barbieri Standards album on Red Records. Great 1968 Italian recording, highly recommended. Quote
