king ubu Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 (edited) can anyone tell me which Conns have also been issued on LP? I've got Jordan/Gilmore-Blowin' in, Coleman-Empty Foxhole, Walter Davis-Davis Cup, Freddie Hubbard-Ready for Freddie, Johnny Griffin-The Congregation. Were all of the first two (or more?) batches also released as LPs? 'Cause these LP issues (although they lack the occasional bonus track) sound extremely well-done to these (humble) ears. thanks for your help ubu Edited April 25, 2003 by king ubu Quote
Soul Stream Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 I really miss the LP reissues of the Conn. titles. They were great, well done, and inexpensive. A real value. Quote

Were all of the first two (or more?) batches also released as LPs? I've got one from the third series: Patterns by Bobby Hutcherson. I have seen copies of Solid by Grant Green and The Procrastinator by Lee Morgan too. I am almost certain this third series was the last batch issued on vinyl. Quote
Parkertown Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I've seen "Destination Out". I think a local vinyl store (Wax Trax) still has a couple. And maybe "Foxhole" as well. Quote
sidewinder Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I picked up 'Ready For Freddie' and 'Open Sesame' on this series. 'Basra' was issued too. Quote
