Sea Ensemble: We Move Together (Great...)

Indeed.

Those LPs on Red are also pretty awesome...

This is actually the first I've heard of the Sea Ensemble, purchased on the merits of the "names" involved. Have to admit I didn't even know this album existed until rifling through the bins yesterday...

Nope! It was in my first pre-selection, but I wanted to reduce my order to about 100 USD....

See the Harlem Stride Piano thread for some information on the Donald Lambert CD.

As for the Hines discs, lately I am becoming a 'Fatha' sucker. His magnificent control over the whole keyboard, his unexpected runs... my God, what a player! Though not a stride piano player (in fact his typical approach is just the opposite -trumpet-like pianism vs orchestral pianism-), I've put him very near my pantheon of stride masters.

funn you just bought "Feet Music"... I found this one on sale (12€, approx.!!!):

Lucky you! I haven't found Bikini Tapes for a reasonable price anywhere!

I almost went for it at full prize (some 35 euro over here, or even 40!) several times, so I was very happy to see it! But "Feet Music" is quite nice, too! (I have made luke-warm comments about it earlier, but I have likely been in the wrong mood for it then...)
