The Magnificent Goldberg
Eveyone always said this was a classic, so I knew I didn't need to hurry to buy it. I got around to it today, after only forty-two years delay (no 1920s preachers in the shop today). MG

Shawn
It's a session he did for Black And Blue with Milt Buckner. It was reissued a few years back with extra tracks on an import CD, haven't run across that one yet. Anyway, killer stuff and you can get the Laserlight version for about $5. The Magnificent Goldberg
A couple of CDs by the great Rev J M Gates It's incredible how popular Gates was. He recorded 44 tracks for 7 different companies on the 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15 & 16 September 1926; one day off in ten! (His manager didn't commit him to a contract with any company, and they all wanted to record him.) MG

BruceH
A used copy of The Magnificent Thad Jones, an old Connoiseur. Not a world-shaking album, but a nice one, and I've been looking for it for awhile.

GregK
Captain Beefheart anthology, The Dust Blows Forward. My first Beefheart (longtime Zappa fan, however. I have no explanation for why it took me so long to dig into some Beefheart)!

tonym
Just ordered The Procrastinator from Amazon. Am I in for a treat? It doesn't suck. Now there's an understatement! You're in for quite a treat! (and what the heck took you so long to order that one? ) ....that sums up why I hadn't bought it earlier (and the fact that the record shops around here are dismal; I've only recently started buying online.... ) And you're both right...it don't suck at all. It arrived this morning. I've a feeling I'll grow to love this disc.

Kalo
George Clinton Presents the P-Funk Allstars - How Late Do You Have 2BB4UR Absent? Curtis Counce - You Get More Bounce With Curtis Counce How is that new Clinton album? Funky, in every sense of the word. I'm still absorbing it, but my guess is that it's one of those doubles discs that you'll feel would make a nice single disc. My other guess is that every listener will differ quite a bit as to which tracks are the keepers. It's George Clinton, fahgahdsakes!
