clifford_thornton
I've got a couple things on hold from the Bastards: the Japanese LP pressings of the Plugged Nickel Miles, 2 volumes. Fairly cheap, too.
brownie
When it came out, I shied away from the 'Hot Hazz on Blue Note' 4CD box because I already hall all the music on various BN and Mosaic albums but when I ran into one of those boxes on sale for the price of a single CD today, I could not let this one pass. Superb box with notes by Dan Morgenstern. Sound restoration and mastering by Malcolm Addey. Love this!

A great box, with very good annotation, too.
Clunky
Barney Bigard/Art Hodes- Delmark LP Buck Clayton LP with usual suspects ( Bud Freeman, Pee Wee R etc) unsure of providence as it's on a UK 60's label which indicates next to nothing regarding the date
brownie
I paid 50€ for a copy a year or two ago, when I saw a copy here, haven't regretted any cent. A great box, with very good annotation, too. Mine cost me €19! OK it was not brand new but the booklet was untouched. There was a slight problem with one track on disc 2. A bit of spit and polish did the trick. The disc plays fine now And the set is really beautiful!

I think my box was probably at the shop and open for everybody to listen and look at the booklet for years...
GA Russell
Today I opened up Herbie Mann At the Village Gate. It's one of those albums that I've wanted for years, but never got around to picking up. It's very mellow, and would be a good recommendation for a jazz newbie. Good music. Guest
Straight No Chaser (T.MOnk)------one of the first Jazz recordings I ever bought but never updated to CD. Bliss...High inner-atainment value. Scelsi Morning (Marc Ribot)-----a "new music"/chamber music offering. Not bad, but I wish he'd played more guitar on it. Sun Ra DVD "Space is the Place". Fun and games. I already own the DVD "Sun Ra:a Joyful Noise" which is a great exposition and documentary of this sartorially innovative band leader. Ra-ra, that's the spirit! I forgot to ask what editions they are before I placed my bids. Oh well....the total sum for those 3 cds is only around $22 which is roughly around 18.75 Euros with the current exchange rate.
