Dan Gould
Well I bought it about 15 days ago but it just showed up, and I'm very excited it did: Jay McShann, Jumpin' the Blues (Definitive Black & Blue) About two months ago I was perusing the Black & Blue listings on discogs and came across an LP led by Jay, three tracks were with Milt Buckner on organ and I verified those three were on the Definitive Black & Blue release with Jay and Milt as co-leaders and it looked to all the world like the remaining five tracks, Jay + rhythm with George Kelly and Tiny Grimes, were orphan tracks. Couldn't find 'em anywhere so I pulled the trigger on a purchase from a French dealer, for the LP, just to get those tunes ... turned out he only communicated in French, refused to ship a CD that I threw in to the order as a single shipment, so I got ripped off for shipping charges, and his VG+ was a lot closer to VG-. Was going to take hours to clean up the pops but I decided to look again, maybe find another copy for a reasonable price in better shape. That's where JazzMessengers came in. Turned out there was a now out of print CD issue of those five "orphan tracks" that had two alternates and four unissued tunes added! It went from about 24 minutes of new music in terrible shape to nearly 60 in that fine B&B sound. The only way it could be sweeter would be if it were unissued Bubba Brooks but I'll take George Kelly any day.

That Joe Hen box is a treasure trove! His Milestone years are tremendously under-appreciated, IMO. And that Clare Fischer big band disc is sweet too. Did Muse ever reissue that Earl Hines concert on CD? It's a great one. but one of many great albums by Earl Hines from that "comeback" phase of his career, so perhaps this one got overlooked? Looks like the music was issued digitally one time -- on a Vogue/Savoy CD in France: There's no mention of a Muse CD issue. Probably for the reason you said. There's no shortage of post-Little Theater/"comeback" recordings. Edited June 16, 2019 by HutchFan

ghost of miles
Just got back from a trip to Landlocked Music, Bloomington mecca for CD and vinyl lovers. Picked up the following: Stan Getz, Getz At The Gate Nicole Mitchell, Renegades (used) John Lennon, Imagine (reissue, used) Led Zeppelin, The Song Remains The Same (2007 reissue, used) The Getz had been set aside at my request, the Lennon and Led Zep were titles I’ve trawled for used for quite some time, and the Nicole Mitchell was a random and unexpected find. Part of why I still love the record-store experience.

erwbol
Ordered through the MSR website where it's only $12.95 (amazon.com $31.98). Shipping to Europe relatively cheap at $11.95. http://www.msrcd.com/catalog/cd/MS1620 https://www.audaud.com/debussy-preludes-terry-lynn-hudson-msr-classics/ I didn't have any of the préludes yet and was looking for a well-recorded rendition ever since buying Mary Halvorson's The Maid with the Flaxen Hair.
