For me, Hendrix's Band of Gypsys.  :tup

Now you have to get "Live at the Fillmore East". B-)

Does that include all the material from the Band of Gypsys record? D'oh! I bought a used copy on a whim...now I'm thinking of taking it back.

Actually, it doesn't include any of the tunes from "Band of Gypsys". But it is a lot of other music played during that same 2-night run at the Fillmore.

Don't take back BoG, though. It's still a classic.

Whew! Good thing, because I can tell BoG is going to be in heavy rotation for a while.

I read some of the Amazon reviews of the Fillmore discs. Quite a few people seem to be disenchanted with the editing. Does it detract from the music?

Geri Allen, Charlie Haden, Paul Motian - In the Year of the Dragon

Some great music from this trio - they've recorded quite a bit together, but this is the only disc I have from them...recommendations of others are welcome!
