TheMusicalMarine
Today at Amoeba picked up Dizzy Gillespie Vol.5 (Masters of Jazz) Dizzy Gillespie Vol.1 (Masters of Jazz) Joe Lutcher 1947 (R&B Classics) Gerry Mulligan - California Concerts, Vol.1 Unfortunately, my database isn't up to date and II already have the Joe Lutcher, so that's a few buck wasted. The other three, however, are good finds at good prices.

jeffcrom
Thelonious Monk: The Complete Riverside Recordings. Nice deal on a used copy for $74.95 from Rasputin's in Concord, CA. That's a deal! I bought it as soon as it came out, for around three times what you paid, and it's been a cornerstone of my collection since. sidewinder
The Mirage 'Now You See It..' album of 1970s Brit jazz-rock on Dutton Vocalion for £1.95. Living up to its title - the only other copy was over £90 and Dutton now seems to have discontinued this title. ejp626
Nice little used cd haul at my fav cd exchange: Cannonball Adderley Quintet-Live in Japan-Capitol Jazz But the $1 bin turned out to be the real treasure trove: Mel Rhyne-Remembering Wes-Savant Teddy Charles-Dances with Bulls-Smalls Records But the real find was Harold Land-Xocia's Dance on Muse...for a dollar!!! The disc is a little rough and the booklet is kinda crinkled, but it sure beats the $37.50 they're asking for on Amazon! Yeah, those are some sweet finds. I've heard great things about Dances with Bulls. I'll try to check it out later. I got a pretty good deal recently on Coleman Hawkins Meets the Big Sax Section on LP and June Christy Ballads for Night People on CD. mikelz777
Carl Smith - Satisfaction Guaranteed (5-CD, Bear Family) Well, I treated myself to my first Bear Family box set. I'm a bit concerned I'm starting an expensive trend for myself, I've already got my eye on 3 more. I spent about what a Mosaic would cost but rationalized my purchase since some CD sales and some easy side money covered a little more than half of it. ep1str0phy
CD copy of Dewey Redman: Look for the Black Star. I didn't even know this existed, but I didn't pay that much for it. Sce-ore. (Hot on the heels of purchasing a similar Japanese Freedom import of Ornette's Who's Crazy--vols. 1 & 2, which was also surprisingly reasonable in price.) DMP
Jimmy Smith's "Live at the Village Gate" (my recollection of this session is that it's a little rough, which may be the reason it was exiled to the Metro label?) and Tadd Dameron's "The Magic Touch.
