What music did you buy today?

brownie:

I had never found the Hatologies (except some special sales at on-line retailers) for less than 17-18 €. This was a great find, I think.

The Classics were priced from 11.0 to 11.9 €. Reasonable prices, in my opinion. Specially when you can´t find them in Spanish stores (FNAC in Madrid used to have a bunch of them years ago, but nowadays all you can find is "lost" CD in some artists´ department).

Will not travel to Brussels to visit the FNAC store there.

My favorite secondhand store (Jussieu Musique) sells plenty of Hatologies at €10.9 and the seller gives me a discount because I buy often.

The FNAC sellers ignore me most of the time because they're too busy talking about the last TV show they watched!

I keep my business at places like Jussieu Musique.

How much do you pay (new and used) for the Classics in Paris, brownie?

Though it killed the cat, just curiosity... ;)

Bought vinyl from Iceland!

'Fascinating Voyage' by Iceland bass player Arni Egilsson. He plays with a trio of masters: Pete Jolly, Ray Brown and Jimmie Smith. 1985 session made in LA and pressed on pure vinyl by the Reykjavik label Arnaeus.

The album was later issued on CD as 'Basses Loaded' on Cambria.

Plus another vinyl, my first BN in years: the double LP issue of Al Green 'I Can't Stop'! No RVG stamp on the inside vinyl space.

And to remain in an eclectic mood: Peter Brotzmann's 'Nipples' on Atavistik.

Grand total for all three items: €20 ($24)!

The later two were brand-new 'special offers'. Love those offers...

All from Candence:

--- Albert Ayler: Lorrach, Paris 1966

--- Peter Brotzmann: Tales Out Of Time

strange coincidence, this was my order from JazzLoft yesterday.

I also picked up Ayler's Music is the Healing Force... and Fondation Maeght from cduniverse with some Paypal credit I had left over.
