papsrus
Charles Tolliver Mosaic Select Lester Young/Count Basie Sessions 1936 - 1940 Hm. Ordered these Dec. 3 and just got a "will be shipped within next 24 hours" notice today. Not to complain, but this seems atypically slow for Mosaic. In the past, orders have arrived within days -- surprisingly fast. Maybe it's the time of year. Or maybe it's the law of averages.

mikelz777
The siren song of BMG's "3 free for the price of shipping" code has proven to be too irresistable yet again. At $2.79 per disc I couldn't resist: Enrico Rava / Stefano Bollani - The Third Man Stanley Turrentine - Dearly Beloved Sadao Watanabe - Basie's At Night (2-CD)
relyles
I took a lunch time run to my favorite brick & mortar jazz retailer and picked up the following: Steve Lantner Trio (w/ Joe Morris, bass and Luther Gray, drums) - What You Can Throw - $2.99 (I actually do not know anything about Lantner, but figured a hatology release for that price is a rare occurrence) Mario Pavone Double Tenor Quintet (with Jimmy Greene and Tony Malaby) - Ancestors - $14.99) Don Pullen - New Beginnings - $6.

Aggie87
Found both of these on vinyl in a used store this afternoon. Freddie Hubbard/Stanley Turrentine - In Concert Vol 1 (CTI) Sun Ra - St. Louis Blues (...produced by Paul Bley) As well as Jon Hassell's "Power Spot" on cd. Is that the only appearance of Brian Eno on an ECM recording? Edited December 20, 2008 by Aggie87
