kh1958 Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 (edited) Some more miscellaneous buys from BMG freebies, B&N coupon and other internet finds: Just got this and have to say that this is excellent. If you're into electric blues/rock you should check this out. After Bluesbreakers, you might want to get the expanded reissue of A Hard Road--it's even better than Bluesbreakers (in my opinion). Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check it out. I see that it features Mayall with Peter Green so I have few doubts that I'd probably like it. I've really enjoyed Peter Green's version of Fleetwood Mac in the Complete Blue Horizon Sessions box set I purchased recently. Quote

captainwrong Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Against my better judgment, I bought three Mosaic Select sets today. Found them used at about the last place in town I'd ever think to look for such a thing. Picked up Randy Weston, Duke Person ($35/each) and Cooper/Shank ($19). It wasn't a huge savings, but they had a buy five get one deal and the wife had some DVDs she wanted, so it evened out. I don't even know if the Cooper and Shank set is my bag, but for $19, what the shit? Quote
