DMP Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Right, the Oxley is a UK Columbia (1999) - found it in the used bin at my local store, $8. It's all new to me, but looked interesting. Quote

If you don't have it already, hunt like a wolf for the Batised Traveler, which is the other UK Columbia released in that "British Jazz Reissue Series." Quote

RDK Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 I'm a big fan of the clearance bins at Amoeba. $2.99 each, but also buy 4 and get one free. So less than $20 (inc. tax) for the following... Benny Carter "The King" (OJC) David Newman "Under a woodstock Moon" (Kokopelli) Jeannie & Jimmyu Cheatham "Gud Nuz Bluz" (Concord) Eric Watson Trio "Silent Hearts" (Sunnyside) Alvin Batiste "Marsalis Music Honors" Ruby Braff "Linger Awhile" (Vanguard) Lennie Tristano "Lennie Tristano/New Tristano" (Atlantic) Buddy Rich "All-Star Small Groups" (LRC) Quote
