Shorthanded Cavs were in it for most of the game. After shooting well against Mavs, they could only muster 6/43 (14%) from 3 which is why they lost to Bucks. Quote

JSngry Posted January 3 Author Report Posted January 3 If the Mavericks want to shoot all these damn 3s, they better figure out how to sink them. Kinda like the other teams they've been playing? Quote
soulpope Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Victor Wembanyama still entertains on regular basis .... tons of talent indeed .... Quote
T.D. Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 San Antonio 130-108 Detroit. Somebody had to win. Quote
jlhoots Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 Bucks recover from slump. Beat Celtics by 33. Quote
JSngry Posted January 12 Author Report Posted January 12 Mavs have this annoying habit of jumping off to a large lead and then pissing it away, either almost losing or even actually losing. Wtf? Quote
T.D. Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 San Antonio 135-99 Charlotte. Somebody had to win. Hard to think about Wembanyama when his team is 7-30 (after a 2 game win streak). Some really bad teams in the league this year. Quote
jlhoots Posted January 15 Report Posted January 15 Lillard with a 30+ foot 3 to win for the Bucks at the overtime buzzer, 143 - 142. Quote

soulpope Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 Caitlin Clark passes Brittney Griner for fourth on the NCAAB women basketball all-time scoring list .... sorry for the off-topic .... Quote
soulpope Posted February 1 Report Posted February 1 Caitlin Clark passes Jackie Stiles and Kelsey Mitchell for second on the NCAAB women basketball all-time scoring list .... off-topic revisited .... Quote
soulpope Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Caitlin Clark makes history .... she passes Kelsey Plums and leads the NCAAB women basketball all-time scoring list with3,569 career points (and counting) .... off-topic revisited (probably not for the last time as Pete Maravich’s five-decade-old men’s Division I record of 3,667 points is not that far off) .... soulpope Posted February 29 Report Posted February 29 Caitlin Clark makes history again .... she passes Lynette Woodard and leads the (also pre-) NCAAB women basketball all-time scoring list with3,650 career points (and counting) ....Pete Maravich’s five-decade-old men’s Division I record of 3,667 points now jusr 17 points way ..... off-topic revisited .... soulpope Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 Caitlin Clark breaks Pete Maravich’s five-decade-old men’s Division I record .... but the greatest moment occurs when she meets Lynette Woodard and gives due to her accomplishments as pre-NCAAB women basketball all-time leader .... heart warming .... case closed .... Kevin Bresnahan Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 Celtics-Warriors game last night was quite the eye-opener. The Celtics led 82-38 at halftime, with Curry going 0-9 from 3 while scoring 4 points. The Warriors sat Curry, Green & Thompson in the second half, conceding the game. In the end, the Celtics bench outscored the Warriors bench and the Celtics beat them by 52, becoming the first team in NBA history to win 3 games by 50+ points in a single season. Now watch the Celtics lose their next 3 games because of this. Their season has been like that. Total Jeckyl-Hyde stuff. Quote
soulpope Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Caitlin Clark and Victor Wembanyama ..... what a last (NCAAB) and first (NBA) season to witness .... Quote
GA Russell Posted April 20 Report Posted April 20 I haven't been paying attention. So I am surprised to see that the Knicks are the #2 seed in the East. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 20 Report Posted April 20 I think the worst-case playoff scenario for the Celtics is underway. They led the league by a wide margin during the regular season, but 4 of their losses were to good teams missing their leading scorer(s), which should have resulted in easy wins. But this Celtics team doesn't seem to be able to get motivated in these games. Now they're facing the Heat without Jimmy Butler. Quote
JSngry Posted October 31 Author Report Posted October 31 Quite the intense Pacers-Celtics game this evening, eventually! So intense that I didn't mind it cutting into Spurs/Thunder. OKC is scaring me already...and it's kinda neat seeing old man Pop, like Coleman Hawkins with that wild hair and beard. Quote
