Phoebe Snow "Standing On Shakey Ground" (Columbia) 1976 .... the Temptations took this Eddie Hazel song straight to the top of the charts in 1975, but this cover is something else ....  btw what a bass line ....

The Emotions "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love (M+M Mix)" (BBE Music) 2017 .... obviously teaming up with Earth, Wind & Fire was a jackpot for The Emotions .... this John Morales mix makes the Verdine White bassgrooves clearly audible .... and Wanda Hutchinson soars .... Disco/Funk borderliner ....

In 1973, this Capricorn label band (Duke Williams & Extremes) met with the Phila. Intl. rhythm section and cut, 'Chinese Chicken'.  Note how the Sichuan pepper sauce starts burning halfway thru.

Some of the latest in neo-funk/soul and touch of spiritual.  Lyrics and music by the trio of Nicola Conte, Myles Sanko, and Alberto Parmegiani.

Joe Claussell is a name to follow. This is pretty much what he does, but he manages to always do it well.
