MIke Schwartz, Retired DJ at KSJS - RIP

It has been reported by his daughter Mika on his Facebook profile that board member Mike Schwartz passed away November 13th. Mike was a longtime DJ on KSJS and posted his show's guest list here from time to time:

He hasn't posted here since 2014 but I had continued to interact with him on Facebook.

Yes. Very sad. 

He had been pretty active on FB up until the last few weeks or so - mostly posting musician's birthdays. Didn't know about his health. I remember he had some serious issues a few years ago.

He goes way back in the history of jazz message boards - Jazz Central Station and JazzCorner. Probably others I don't recall, as well.

Wasn't he related to Norman Schwartz, who was associated with Cal Tjader and Gary McFarland?

That is very sad news.  I never knew him personally but interacted with him virtually for many years.
