Don Sleet anyone? Wow, how did I miss this guy?

I have no problem saying that, based on this one recording, Sleet (a druggie who died of cancer in 1986) is one of the best trumpeters I have ever heard. I have no idea how I missed this guy:

Great track! In the comments Don’s brother Dave (mentioned here) notes that the recording has been speeded up. Would love to hear more from this gig (speed corrected). Gary Levebre seems to have the tape.
