I am not an expert at determining the legitimacy of releases, but....if you scroll down the webpage it says:

The album is released as part of a collaborative partnership between GAD Records and Weather Report.

I had the same thought. I won't ask Wayne's widow if she knows about it...

I'm sure the band & band name were incorporated. That leaves all sorts of possibilities.

If the sound is OK, I'm certainly in.  Very different track list than the Live in Tokyo album, which was recorded Jan 3, 1972, plus it has the three British horn players added on.

An hour ago I got a message from Germany's biggest mail order for music that my pre-order has been canceled. Hopefully this is only due to distribution et al. At least the label and the weathershop still have it on pre-order. Anyone knows more?

Yeah. There are a few recordings of the band from 1971 - Berlin, Ossiach, and Vienna.  The band’s sound was already quite different by the time Live in Tokyo was recorded in early 1972.

I have a stupid question. Is this the same website/company that did the Weather Report crowdsourcing documentary years ago? I know it was either Kickstarter or Indiegogo I gave them like a few hundred bucks and never got anything and never heard back from my emails. Does anyone else remember this?

Did anyone get this? It shows as sold out from the label, and neither Amazon nor Deepdiscount have it. Where else can I get it?

Check out eBay. On the US eBay I could get a copy there for 28 dollars, shipped.

Comparing the LP and CD, LP version omits 2 of 3 tracks with Surman/Skidmore/Thelin, Sunrise and Mato Grosso Feio.

I wager they did not want to do it a 3 LP set, but come on, those are the tracks that make this concert unique. Especially Mato Grosso Feio, such a beautiful Shorter composition, something that would fit right in on Native Dancer album, and with this nice angular early Weather Report sound to boot.

CD it is for me, I guess.
