RIP. Great player, first heard him on Charles Fox BBC radio jazz in Britain live sessions in the 70s and was then surprised that he turned up on a Pop Group b side snappily entitled ‘Amnesty International Report on British Army Torture of Irish Prisoners”

Actually I think Tristan lets rip on the A side, we are all prostitutes from about 2 minutes in. Would be interested to know how he fell in with this crowd, what a life. RIP.

ICP's music is so important to me, saw him several times with them, including at the Vortex a week after Misha Mengelberg died, he and the ICP performed a Charles Ives song in tribute, Honsinger sang lead.  The song was a tribute to Ives' deceased dog, but it was both poignant and funny and so so right for those tricksters.

Very sad news. Saw ICP Orchestra quite a few times, and saw Tristan with Cecil and as a solo performer also. He was a real original.

Re: The Pop Group, Honsinger worked extensively with Steve Beresford in the '70s and I assume that would be the connection.
