Guy Berger Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 (edited) I'm thinking of buying this album. (I'm a big fan of the Coltrane Quartet's 1965 recordings.) Claude once wrote an enthusiastic recommendation. The reviews (and a sound clip of "If I Die Before I Wake") suggest that Trogdor... er Pharoah is completely burninatin' on this disc. Anybody else familiar with it? It's either Solomon's Daughter or Bill Frisell's Have a Little Faith. Help me make the right choice. Guy Edited April 1, 2004 by Guy Berger Quote
7/4 Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Great disc. Pharoah sounds more pasionate when he's a hired gun. He rips it up! Quote
Simon Weil Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 (edited) This is a very good record. You won't regret buying it. Have A Little Faith is good too, but not this good. Simon Weil Edited April 1, 2004 by Simon Weil Quote
