Part of "Soul history" hands down .... hard to believe (but true) that the funders of this movie wanted to feature here Gwen Dickey of Rose Royce instead of the "old(er) lady" 🧐 ....

Dan Brantley "Keep On Trying" (Hollywood) 1968 .... had this Deep Soul Ballad on my mind, a re-play was obligatory .... this and more outstanding stuff can be hear/obtained via :

"King's Serious Soul Vol. 2: Counting Teardrops" (Kent Records)

Highly recommended compilation ....
