Even better, I went for it. I just wish my Dad, a minister with the United Church of Christ for 43 years, were still here--he'd be intrigued that these were recorded in a UCC church.

Couldn’t resist. Damn you Nimbus West….. what a great project. I love all of those Tapscott reissues and releases. Like he’s finally getting the credits he deserves. Too late of course but still….

Just landed yesterday -- looking forward to giving it a spin, along with those Nadja releases of Abe, Takagi, and Yoshizawa. Been working on a big writing project and in a week will finally have time to listen to stuff I'm not writing about!

I just subscribed for Vols. 2-11.  No-brainer for me.  If I'm not going to spend $225 on this, what music would I spend it on instead?  This stuff is my musical wheelhouse as much as anything is.  And if I am not pleased for some unforeseeable reason, shouldn't be a difficult resell, with the limited quantities being produced.  Plus it gives Matt & Co. seed money for this and other projects - this music needs to be preserved and available.  Clear win in every aspect for me.

I wasn't sure whether I should subscribe. Your arguments won me over. Plus the potential to save on postage with combined international shipping.

Moderator, Would it make sense to combine this thread with the one for the first volume to just have a single thread for the whole PAPA series?

Have they shipped anything from the subscription series yet?

I received this from Matt at Nimbus West on June 8:

IUCC UPDATE
-SHORT Printing DELAY

Greetings,
Thanks for being a part of the Legendary IUCC series!
We recently received the finished jackets for the next 2 volumes in
the series and they unfortunately came out really bad.. Not even
close to the proofs that we approved…
Oversaturated print density which resulted in a overly dark and
slightly blurry undefined image.. We have contracted a new Printer
to reprint the jackets and they are in process right now.
However, this will push things back by about 2-3 weeks…
We are sorry for the inconvenience and short delay. It’s important to
us that these turn out as intended with beautiful vibrant artwork,
and promise it will be worth the short delay…
The discs for the entire series have been manufactured so the rest of
the series should move along quickly from here on out!
Thanks for your patience!
Bright moments,
Nimbus West

Received this from Matt at Nimbus West this morning:

Nimbus West Records
IUCC UPDATE
Vol 2 + 6
SHIPPING FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST
Greetings,
In early June we received the finished jackets for volumes 2 and 6 in
the IUCC series. In short, the print job was awful.
Oversaturated print density which resulted in a dark and blurry
images on both volumes.. This took several weeks longer than
expected to resolve. The jackets are now in production at a new
printer and we are expecting the finished product to land here at
HQ in the next 10-12 days. We’ll begin shipping immediately and
plan to have all copies ship out during the first week of August.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience
during this short delay.
The discs for the entire series have already been manufactured so
the rest of the series will move along quickly from here on out! We
are planning on 2-3 volumes each month until the series finishes.
Bright moments,
Nimbus West

Great news. Please do let us know how you like them! I let them collect all the volumes and ship them all at once saving costs. I am hoping these will finish before Christmas. This would be a great Christmas gift to myself ☺️

Possible.  They're hoping to do 2-3 volumes a month, have 8 volumes left.

I received the June 24, 1979 and Feb. 25 1979 sets today!

Me too. Day 5 of no power and water after a tornado passed by though so won't be listening for a while.
