I'm in trouble.  I blew up the group about suggesting box sets to Mosaic.  I was trying to delete a message I started and was given the option to delete it... without knowing it would delete the group.

Is there anyway to save it?

Thread starters have always had power to delete a thread.

I have a vague recollection of a disgruntled member doing that to several threads before his departure but I'm not 100% on that.

I feel so down about this.  Sorry folks.  I didn't mean to do it.

One wonders what the appropriate music for this occurrence might be?

The last part of the 1812 Overture with the cannons might be in order...

BTW, I miss ALL of the Bill Barron posts already!

Imagine the devastation at Mosaic...😢...I'm sure they were raptly following every word of the discussion. 🤣

Oh yea, I'm sure that was the case.  Probably losing sleep over it as well.

Maybe Michael will be so moved that he will begin that long-awaited autobiography...

It is still my contention that Bill Barron could be the Tina Brooks of the 21st Century...if this wasn't the 21st Century...

Before he left the board the late Chris Albertson deleted quite a few of his threads when he got upset by a few members. I did the same with one of my threads years ago and was told it could not be restored. Once deleted = gone forever.

It's a database/server/archiving thing. Not terribly aware of the granular tech specifics, but barring a matter of national/world/interplanetary existential security and/or heinously felonious activity, it seems to be not do-able without some seriously heavy/expensive tech-lifting.

So as I preached to my kids, don't be sorry, be careful!!!!!

Why not add this link to your new "Part Deux" thread, and delete this entire thread?

Not a bad idea but I'm really nervous about deleting anything at the moment!

MacArthur Park is melting in the dark, all that sweet green icing flowing down...

I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
