Chuck Nessa Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 A couple of months ago I sent a message to Mr Tracy inviting him here. He responded by saying something like "WTF is Organissimo?", but much more politely. I neglected responding, but he seems to have found us. Welcome. Quote
Larry Kart Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Welcome, indeed. Lots of knowledge/experience/dry wit/common sense etc. is at Mr. Tracy's command. Quote
Big Al Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Mr. Tracy, if you see this, I just want to thank you for writing the liner notes to Terry Gibbs Dream Band, Volume 5: The Big Cat. Liner notes seldom crack me up while perfectly describing the album about which they're being written. Oh yeah, and welcome to the zoo. Quote
brownie Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 A very warm welcome from here too! Jack Tracy was with Down Beat when the magazine was still highly readable (and a large part of my jazz education). And thanks for the Limelight Records productions. Those LPs still look and sound beautiful. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Welcome! The stock for this joint just went WAY UP! Quote
JSngry Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 I can only echo the previous comments - welcome, and jump in as the mood strikes. That kind of firsthand experience is more than welcome here! Quote
JackTracy Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Thank you all for your welcome--it's nice to be remembered and I'll try to live up to the high standards this group has set for itself. I enjoy it immensely and hope I can make soome positive contrbutions to it. Jack Tracy Quote
SGUD missile Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I'd like to add my own hearty greetings as well to the multi talented Mr . Tracy Welcome aboard !! Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 ...and I'll try to live up to the high standards this group has set for itself. Oh crap, did we ever get around to deciding on what those high standards were gonna be??? Something else to put on the to-do list... Welcome Mr. Tracy!!! Glad to have you join us. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Welcome from me as well, but if we're adopting high standards... Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Welcome. Looking forward to your posts. Quote
Brad Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Welcome, Moose and I are the ones responsible for balancing out those higher standards that everybody else brings Quote
