Help with quotation?

There's something I half remember reading, here or elsewhere, that I thought maybe you could help me with.  I half remember somthing along the lines of 'melody has a rhythm, rhythm has a melody, etc', to the point of it all being related and truly separate only as a matter of analysis.  It might have been original or quoting someone else.  Might have been jSngry since it seems like something he might say.
