Brandon Burke Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 I know it's silly but it has any number of unforseen benefits. If you're on then feel free to add me by my name. You've got it here. I've nothing to hide....... Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 I think I heard something about Friendster on NPR a few months ago, and promptly forgot all about it. Just added you as a friend, Brandon. Is there an Enemyster too?? (Ha - it looks like there will be!!) Quote
Brandon Burke Posted April 27, 2004 Author Report Posted April 27, 2004 It's interesting that they're still a "beta" at this point. The NPR story is good. You should look it up. They ended up with waaay more users than they expected (not unlike Austin, TX) so the site was bogged down for quite a while. They did upgrade the servers about a month ago so now it's at least.....er.....less slow. Quote
Adam Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 (edited) Hi Brandon, I'll add you too. Hey, which Brandon Burke are you? Adam Hyman Edited April 27, 2004 by Adam Quote
Brandon Burke Posted April 27, 2004 Author Report Posted April 27, 2004 Hey, which Brandon Burke are you? I'm right behind you, Adam...... (Sorry, that's my Lost Highway reference for the day. ) The one with the Royals hat on. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 If you want, y'all can add me through Brandon; I really am Clifford (but not "Thornton"). Man, I never thought this would come up on Organissimo, and was always too embarrased to bring it up here. Friendster addict... Quote
Big Wheel Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 (edited) Ah what the hell...my friendster account's been dormant for a year and i started it up again. If you do a user search for Adam Turner i'm the first one with a picture attached, posing in front of the sign. Edited April 28, 2004 by Big Wheel Quote
Big Wheel Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Weird...when I do a gallery search there's nobody in it...not even the people in my Friends box. Also, I tried to change my email address since the one I entered when I started my account doesn't exist anymore, and it looks like it's changing it, but then I log out and it's like Friendster "forgot" my new email that I just entered. Anyone know why this is happening? Quote

So how did you end up with so many manic baseball fans as friends anyway...? Edited April 28, 2004 by Brandon Burke Quote
Big Wheel Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Oops, guess it was pretty boneheaded to try changing and verifying the email 3 times then... Quote
