Bellson is great. But I don't like these flashy fast tempos. 

I still have one of these things in the basement. To make them really sound good you need heads with a sound that is strong in the lower pitch range, like calf skin, which were invented only much later - the thin plasric skins they were furnished with sound good only when played softly with mallets. And you need special, sturdy stands so you will not pull them over while turning the outer rim when tuning them. After a few years they disappeared from the market.
