- drink more good coffee while at my parent's house

I'm off to a classical concert in my city right now. Schuman's piano concerto and Mahler's 5th symphony. I've seen Gary Burton and Makoto Ozone in the same concert hall five days ago.

Sleep til the dog says "get up"-almost always by 7 AM.

More house organization stuff, get rid of the boxes left over from the big move

New tennis shoes

Complete burning of LPs for a list member that was promised an unconscionably long time ago

Start transcribing the Bob Weinstock interview tapes

I lead an exceptionally exciting life.

At least, you didn't have to use the word 'stagger' in the description of your weekend plans. You ain't doing too bad. :g

Yes, but my dog actually does say "get up", which is pretty staggering in itself.

I'm going to two concerts tonight in D.C.

1. Bill Heid @ 6:00 Westminster Church. They go until 9:00, but I'll leave at 8:00 to go see...

2. Charles Davis @ 9:00 at Twins. He's supposedly bringing in a group from NYC.

The rest of the week-end, I'll be hanging out with my 4-year-old son: Gym class, birthday party, soccer class, park, possibly the afternoon jam session at HR 57 depending on the weather (it's fucking beautiful today).

Bertrand.

Friday night: Brahms Requiem

Saturday night: Brahms Requiem

Sunday afternoon: Brahms Requiem

We damn near sang the whole thing twice last night, in the finally dress rehearsal with the orchestra. It was a good rehearsal, but I was shot after nearly 3 hours of gut-busting singing.

Saturday- Wake up late(for me), like 7:30, make breakfast(bacon & eggs), figure out what dinner is and get what's needed for that, pick up my son's friend and bring him over for the day, make lunch for them, squeeze in a little listening(Mosaic sets-New Orleans & Mulligan), take the grill out of the shed(It's spring!) and maybe make a BBQ dinner(possibly by flashlight!), catch some B-ball on the tube, listen some more

Sunday- make breakfast, get the Sunday papers, listen to tunes, play handball all afternoon with the guys, make dinner, watch the Sopranos, ... My exciting life!

Party at my boss' house, a blues/jazz/fish fry event (see What's Happening in the SF Bay Area thread), brunch with a friend. House cleaning, do some power walking, try to squeeze in some photo taking.

Friday:  swap identities with father for wacky Disney-esque hijinks.

Saturday:  party with Bay City Rollers.

Sunday:  attend church/Irish riot.

ghost of miles = Mr. Excitement :P

I wish I was having this much fun over the weekend. I'm thinking... maybe I could swap identities with my Mom? Things are different out here, in the Great Southwest.

I'd like to attend the Irish Riot.

Saturday - wait by the mailbox to see if my order from Jazzmatazz arrives (some Art Farmer and Tina Brooks "True Blue" on the way...)

Sunday - go see Organissimo LIVE! (they are playing at a restaurant that's only about 5 miles from my house).

Friday evening, I have plans to meet some friends for dinner and drinks.

On Saturday, sleep in a bit, get up probably about 6:30-7:00.

Throw some tunes on, off to get a hair cut around 9:00, check on some work with one of the crews, search for a truck to buy for a new irrigation tech starting on Monday, and then go check out a friends new house.

In the evening I plan on grilling some veal chops and having some beers/cocktails with a lady friend.

Sunday, sleep in a little more, grab a bagel, read the newspaper, make a trip to Tower, return home to give the news cds a listen, do a little housework, and then hopefully nothing else until about 6:00 PM. I have a few friends that come over and watch the Sopranos with me at 7:00, I'll probably make some pasta, drink a few beers, and call it a night.

Of course showering, shaving, watching some TV, drinking a few more beers, and if I'm lucky, a little lovin' action will be worked into this hectic schedule. ;)

As usual, the drummer has that Ron Perlman "missing link" vibe. :alien: Notice the rest of the guys keeping their distance! Sorry Randy!

...and that plaid bass drum cover is SO five minutes ago!

I've got child raising duty this weekend (my wife will be at a Mary Kay convention).

Fortunately my new Mosaic sets have arrived, so my son and I will work our way through the Capitol Sessions and T/K/M boxes. :D

And we'll probably watch a lot of Spongebob too. The little guy can't get enough of that.

Not to worry you AB, but I remember being on the road and staying in a hotel where there was a Mary Kay convention (this was in the 80s), and I think about half the band got lucky!

Those women knew how to PAR-TAY!! :w
