Mark Stryker Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 (edited) This is a heartbreaking story. I never met Meghan Stabile, but I remember reading the NYT's profile referenced in this obituary and thinking at the time that the life described was not sustainable. I don't mean to suggest that I ever considered it would end in suicide, but I recall thinking that she was running so hard toward something (the music and a cause) that she also seemed to be running away from something else. tranemonk Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Awful.. I didn't know about her but I've been seeing tributes from musicians on social media. Just terrible. Quote
JSngry Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 RIP, and thanks for making it count while you were here. Quote
ghost of miles Posted June 16, 2022 Report Posted June 16, 2022 Terrible news. She has been such a positive force for younger jazz musicians and jazz in general. Quote
