HutchFan
Oh wow. IMO, there's a ton of great stuff on that list. I think I need to place an order! Here are a few that I know well and would definitely recommend: Muse ************************* 5065 Bonner, Joe The Lifesaver 5185 Lytle, Johnny Fast Hands w/ Houston Person, Mickey Tucker, etc. 5234 Newman, David "Fathead" Resurgence w/ Marcus Belgrave, Cedar Walton, etc. 5242 Sullivan, Ira Ira Sullivan... Does It All w/ Red Rodney, Garry Dial, etc. 5249 Tate, Buddy Hard Blowin' w/ Ray Bryant, George Duvivier, Alan Dawson 5362 Walrath, Jack Wholly Trinity w/ Chip Jackson, Jimmy Madison 5380 Williams, Rod Hanging In The Balance w/ Marty Ehrlich, etc. 5383 Hoggard, Jay Overview w/ Geri Allen, Frederick Waits, Ed Rozie 5385 Brown, Donald Sources Of Inspiration w/ Eddie Henderson, Gary Bartz, etc. Landmark ************************* 1513-2 Hutcherson, Bobby In The Vanguard 1517-2 Hutcherson, Bobby Cruisin' The Bird (& the other Hutcherson Landmarks as well, but IMO these two are the "picks of the litter") 1515-2 Miller, Mulgrew Wingspan 1519-2 Miller, Mulgrew The Countdown - with Joe Henderson Don't sleep on the Jack Walrath and Donald Brown LPs. Neither gets talked about much (at all?) -- but I would rate them both as FIVE-STAR records. Two hidden gems from the 80s. mjazzg
Interesting, a UK dealer was also trailing an imminent Muse list recently. Wonder what the sources is. I'll keep an eye for your recs Hutchfan should the list materialise
JSngry
I don't think that any of these are hardcore "must have", but lord have mercy, if anything looks like you'd like it, cape diem. It's all of a very consistent, high quality. Theres a JJ record with Joe that's damn near, " must have", but I forget what label it was on. Also on Landmark, Jimmy Heath's A Time and a Place, a session from his Cobblestone early Muse days that is a total delight.
Brad
The Richie Cole at the Village Vanguard (which I purchased from Felser) is a real barn burner. I’d get that one at least. Edited April 10, 2022 by Brad

He had a superb run on Space Time (French label) after Muse.

BFrank
Any of the Mark Murphy albums. His best work was on Muse, IMO. Also, 5153 Schnitter, David: Goliath w/ Cecil McBee, Claudio Roditi, etc.
