Ken Dryden Posted February 7, 2022 Report Posted February 7, 2022 A terrific article about an infrequently discussed part of Duke Ellington’s career. I wonder if the conductor Thomas Wilkins is the same Thomas Wilkins who was briefly a part of the UTC faculty here in the late 1980s here? Quote
Ken Dryden Posted February 7, 2022 Report Posted February 7, 2022 I just looked up his image, it is the UTC professor who taught my wife conducting during his all too brief time working in Chattanooga. A great guy and a big jazz fan, he was a guest co-host on one of my earliest Timeless Jazz broadcasts in 1987. Quote
