riverrat Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 I'm looking to upgrade from Neanderthal cassette players in both of our vehicles, and would appreciate recommendations. I hope to avoid getting a separate amplifier. I think there are models available with enough power from their internal amps for our needs- don't need to share bass notes with half the neighborhood. I like the Nakamichis because they have a good old fashioned round volume control, which I would really like to have so I don't get in a wreck when adjusting volume while driving. Pretty spendy though. I guess Alpine is where I'm looking now. Doesn't need to be latest model, but being unfinicky about CD-Rs is a must- I plan to burn from my home collection for car use. Any suggestions? Quote
Noj Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&...76&catoid=-8864 Hey Riverrat, I recently replaced an older model Alpine cd player with the Pioneer above, and have really been pleased with its performance. Nice round volume control knob, too. Quote
Noj Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I made this 157-song mp3 cdr last night to test out my new car cd player's mp3-playing capabilities. Really cool! The digital display says the artist's name and track while the song plays. Quote
