I knew nothing of Frishberg before he opened for the Ray Brown Trio at the Blue Note (my first and only time to see Gene Harris in person). I found him delightfully entertaining - a fine pianist and lyricist with the perfect voice to deliver his ditties. RIP.

Saw Frishberg live 3 or 4 times. Highly enjoyable. Coincidently just played his Arbors solo CD within the past week.

I enjoyed his music and his autobiography. The only time I heard him in person was at the Triangle Jazz Party back in the 1990s.

I will try to upload a broadcast or two featuring Dave Frishberg to archive.org when I can locate them.

Hoping that they are already dubbed from cassettes to indexed CDRs...

Here is the link to Dave Frishberg concert at the Rochester Jewish Community Center. The satellite feed was April 1, 1989, so it was likely recorded in 1988 or January 1989. Sorry that the tracks aren't indexed, as I didn't do so when dubbing it from the cassette that I had recorded it onto back in 1989.

I was living in Rochester at that time, and my wife and I along with a couple of friends were there at the Frishberg concert you recorded.

I recorded the concert from an NPR broadcast we carried. I have never been to Rochester. I heard Dave Frishberg one year at the Triangle Jazz Party in Kingsport, Tennessee.

I am recording a Dave Frishberg tribute tomorrow that will air on 11-28-21.
