John L
I didn't realize there was a film. Thanks!
JSngry
Not really a "film", just a survived TV show footage, which I guess is film, just not A film, if you know what I mean.

Quasimado
Enjoying disk V (duos/ trios with Sonny Dallas). Would anybody know the changes for "Forever Lines" (track 4)? I can't quite place them and it's driving me nuts. Often there is a hint in the title but if so, it eludes me.

I'm supposed to be getting mine tomorrow. If I do, I'll take a listen to see what I hear. Maybe "Forever" = "Always"? Like I'll be loving you, always....that one. For me, it sounds like a variation of "It's You Or No One" (one of Lennie's favorites). I guess the title comes from the lyrics "It's you or no one for me / I'm sure of this each time we kiss / Now and forever and when forever's done / You'll find that you are still the one". I should say my ear is awful, so I might be dead wrong. Edited January 10, 2022 by mhatta
JSngry
Now i want my set to have gotten here already for the last week. This is the kind of "test" I really enjoy, deciphering what changes are what. I love playing "stump the listener" with those two The Art Of Improvisation albums of Warne. They've fooled some pretty good players here!

But repeated listening to Sonny Dallas (who's not exactly playing it straight....) has me ultimately hearing "It's You Or No One". But it ain't exactly "crystal clear", right? This is some REALLY free playing harmonically.
Quasimado
Thanks folks. Listening to Lennie's changes behind the bass solo, I hear "You Can Depend on Me" (Wow) - but I can't hear that through the line. And I can't hear "It's You or No One" either ... or, as yet... Time will tell... amazing.
JSngry
And not only is it free harmonically, but rhythmically as well...I tried do get a better grip on the changes by counting four, thinking something would fall easily into place. Nope. These lines are, as they say, polymeric. Pretty extremely so. Amazing, indeed!
