miles65 Posted July 17, 2021 Report Posted July 17, 2021 There are many extra new bulletins with updates about the flooding on dutch public TV. Here in Haarlem north of the rivers I'm safe. The flood is still in the province of Limburg. The coming days the exces water will flow throug the broad rivers in the southern part of the country. After previous floods a lot of space was created to accomodate the extra water. Not much trouble expected there. Quote
Pim Posted July 17, 2021 Report Posted July 17, 2021 Yeah in the Netherlands it’s only the province of Limburg. A crazy idea: we have such a small country and there’s one province where the precipitation is now more than 200 mm in a few days, while up near Amsterdam where I there wasn’t a single drop. Huge differences in a small country. Fortunately the damage in The Netherlands is mostly material. I really feel for the Belgian and German people. Quote
