Teasing the Korean Posted June 15, 2021 Report Posted June 15, 2021 (edited) Today is the 103rd birthday of violinist/composer/ethnomusicologist Elisabeth Waldo. She was born in 1918, and is still with us today. Waldo was influenced by Revueltas and Ginastera, with whom she worked early in her career. Waldo is best remembered for a series of albums she did in the late 1950s/early 1960s using authentic pre-Columbian instruments. Edited June 17, 2023 by Teasing the Korean Quote
