Not necessarily. There will be 1,800 for sale of each of the LP and CDs in stores. DG essentially says that what doesn’t sell on Saturday will be available for online sales. Both Amazon and Import CDs have the Japanese cd version listed so perhaps it’s offered this way to other customers, just as the Resonance Bill Evans CDs are offered after RSD. I think the only really new tracks (if any) are the last three tracks from LP2, JATP 1948 in a quartet with Al Haig. There is a small record store in Santa Barbara. They mainly sell used Lps but have some cds. I think they survive (so far) by repairing equipment. i've asked them to try to get a cd of Bird in LA for me. I don't think anyone else in town will be looking for it.
