Pim Posted May 22, 2021 Report Posted May 22, 2021 Digging and exploring the Discogs database I see lots of pretty affordable LP issues on weird sublabels. But the main label is mostly Blue Note, OJC or Verve for example. These issues seem to have released with magazines. There is a British one: https://www.discogs.com/label/956425-Jazz-At-3313-rpm An Italian: https://www.discogs.com/label/605960-Jazz-33-Giri A French: https://www.discogs.com/label/519275-Vinyles-De-Jazz A Spanish: https://www.discogs.com/label/1815605-Vinilos-Miticos-Del-Jazz And I saw some Portuguese too. The stuff seems legit but I am mostly wondering: how do they sound? Anyone having any experience with them? Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted May 22, 2021 Report Posted May 22, 2021 I’d also be curious if anyone notices any non-standard cover variations, especially anything really atypically, or even just subtle variations — entirely out of idle curiosity. Quote
HutchFan Posted May 22, 2021 Report Posted May 22, 2021 (edited) Regarding cover variations, the only thing that springs to mind: Spanish Blues Note covers sometimes have a BLUE filter superimposed over the familiar cover images. A couple examples: Edited May 22, 2021 by HutchFan Quote
Pim Posted May 23, 2021 Author Report Posted May 23, 2021 Is there no one with a LP from these series? Quote
mjazzg Posted May 23, 2021 Report Posted May 23, 2021 Never seen one as far as I know, let alone own one. Quote
David Ayers Posted May 23, 2021 Report Posted May 23, 2021 (edited) Never saw one though I remember seeing the series advertised in the UK. Started in 2011! Edited May 23, 2021 by David Ayers Quote
