EKE BBB Posted April 13, 2021 Report Posted April 13, 2021 Here's yet another concert ad, as published in the Newport Daily News (July 18, 1980, p.9). Similar ad was published the following day. Quote
Dan Gould Posted April 13, 2021 Author Report Posted April 13, 2021 This would be right around the time that Allen produced the concert that would be released as I Should Care. Quote
Dan Gould Posted April 14, 2021 Author Report Posted April 14, 2021 (edited) Check out the connection to Doggett (this is from Jet, January 1954): Fabulous Preston is identified as Preston Love, the saxophonist, in discogs but that must be just a supposition. This Fabulous Preston organist is someone else entirely. Ed Wiley Jr was in his group, no idea if its him on that 45. Edited April 14, 2021 by Dan Gould Quote
