BFS Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I recently picked up the TOCJ version of Charlie Rouse's Bossa Nova Bacchnal and from about the 3:00 to 4:00 mark on track #7 "In Martinique" there seems to be some mike distortion on the guitars. Or is there? Is this just the second gutar in the background or is it in fact distortion, can anybody tell? How does it sound on the new RVG version? Does anybody have both to compare? Quote
wolff Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Just ordered the RVG from BMG, but it's Temp. OOS. Soon as I get it I'll let you know. My guess is it's on both. Quote
wolff Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 I just got a Conn (not RVG). I hear a lot of distortion throughout the entire song. Quote
brownie Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 I have the original LP (mono). No distorsion whatsoever on 'In Martinique'. This was the final track on the B side. Both guitars sound clean. Quote
wolff Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Listened to it a couple times now. Pretty lame cd. Weak, very weak soundwise. Way off....to the point were it bugs me. The other Conns I just got sound good. Young/Mother Ship is quite good and Rivers/Fuchia seems passable so far. Wanna sell your copy??? Quote
