I enjoyed Shepp's visit to the Kennedy Center in February 2019 for what was advertised as a Coltrane tribute. That band included Moran, Nasheet Waits, Amir ElSaffar, Darryl Hall, as well as vocalist Marion Rampal for some numbers. Looking forward to this recording, and if it really is a duo album throughout, I likely will compare it (at least the more subdued tunes) to the Moran/Lloyd recording (which I enjoy).

Some great records/reissues from Shepp recently:

• the  LP reissues of the Venus Records (Deja Vu is my favorite)
• the ORTF recording from 1974 on Transversales Disques.
• The LP reissue of Wo!man with Kühn.

• The Fontana reissues with the classic Marte Röling covers.
• This duet with Jason Moran. Solid performance from Shepp where Moran is quite unobtrusive, leaving ample room to Shepp while structuring the compositions.

I really like the Moran/Shepp duets--the CD was recently available from dustygoove. I think they still have it on LP.

I've listened to this online, and quite liked it.  But some of my favorites were in the download only portion, I'd buy the physical product if it included those.  Very frustrating.

Don't remember, but IIRC they popped right up on a simple search - both to listen to and to buy.  Or maybe what I thought were downloads were actually just streaming.

Looks like Amazon has the 'bonus tracks' as either streaming or mp3s.
