Brad Posted September 11, 2020 Report Posted September 11, 2020 For those who may be interested, Rhino and Joni Mitchell are creating the Joni Mitchell Archives, a new series of boxed set releases that will feature unreleased home, live and radio recordings. The first release is a five cd set, the Joni Mitchell Archives, Volume 1: The Early Years 1963-1967. The collection begins in 1963 with her earliest-known recording (age of 19) where she performs “House Of The Rising Sun” at CFQC AM, a radio station in her hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Here’s a link to her website, Joni Mitchell Archives Volume 1. It doesn’t appear to be on Amazon US yet. The set will be released on October 30. Quote
EKE BBB Posted September 11, 2020 Report Posted September 11, 2020 Thanks for the info! Although I like and really appreciate Joni Mitchell’s greatness, I am not such a fan to get all that unissued stuff. However, I will check and maybe I will pick a few. Quote
felser Posted September 11, 2020 Report Posted September 11, 2020 I'm in for this, and for future installments through the 60's and 70's. Quote
Daniel A Posted September 11, 2020 Report Posted September 11, 2020 (edited) It says it's available for pre-order, but then there's a "Sold out" sign. If true, I'm hoping there will be a second pressing (no mention of it being limited). EDIT: It's available for pre-order from Amazon. Edited September 11, 2020 by Daniel A Quote
Brad Posted September 11, 2020 Author Report Posted September 11, 2020 (edited) On her website there was vinyl for parts of the cd set but it may be sold out now. Rhino also releases House of the Rising Sun on YouTube. Edited September 11, 2020 by Brad Quote
