Dave James Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 While cleaning out a long forgotten corner of my garage yesterday, I came across maybe 50 Mosaic Records brochures, the ones that announced new releases and recapped what was already in their catalog. Some of these are pretty old...as far back as #8 from 1991 announcing The Complete Roulette Live Recordings of the Count Basie Band. Oldest of the bunch were some pre-catalog flyers describing Volumes II and III of the Commodore LP collections. They each have an order blank and a letter from Charlie Lucie describing the contents. I doubt these have any value outside of that associated with nostalgia, but it was fun looking though them and recalling an era when I eagerly anticipated each new Mosaic release. Quote
felser Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 Those were beautiful brochures, and quite the thrill in those pre-internet days. Quote
sidewinder Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 (edited) Always used to look forward to the US Air Mail flyer from Mosaic HQ landing on the mat, with the latest Mosaic catalogue to drool over ! Edited August 13, 2020 by sidewinder Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 They were "bathroom reading material" for many years. Quote
Stonewall15 Posted August 14, 2020 Report Posted August 14, 2020 If you want to get rid of them I suggest listing them on eBay. You might be surprised what they may be worth. Quote
