Why can’t new members join now?

I am one of the administrators of the Blindfold Test. We have a Blindfold Test ready to go for August but the presenter will be a new Organissimo.org member. He has turned in a new member request but is getting no response. 
 

is there a current prohibition against new members joining? Is the software for adding new members not working? Thanks moderators for considering this request.

From a prior experience, this is the procedure requested by Jim A: Jim requests that you email him. He has to manually add new members because of spam. His email is b3groover@gmail.com.  When you email him, please indicate what you'd like your username to be.

Has anyone been in contact with Jim recently? I have a prospective member who wishes to join the Forum and I have both emailed and pm'd him with no response.

He's very active on Facebook. You could try him there.

Bump. Is FB or Gmail the preferred method for Jim A contact, regarding new members? Or should someone else be in charge of adding folks?

FB. He’s pretty active there.

Gotcha. I don't think my friend is much of a FB user but I will see if he can try that.
