That track excerpt sounds great - I’ll likely preorder the vinyl.

It would appear that much credit is due to Maxine Gordon  in facilitating this release.

I have her Girl Talk on Impulse, which I like very much, and will probably be getting this one. I didn't know about her relation to Maxine Gordon.

I also have one rare Harold Vick BN album as a Japanese Mini LP.

Someone sent a CDR of this one many year ago, excellent that it will be available much more widely.

(And I am really unclear on the "One For Me" title as it seemed to me very one-of-a-piece with her other recordings. Maybe she meant, if this sells, I'm getting the money, so One for Me?)

And this is also much in need of CD reissue:

You mean Steppin' Out?  I have that as a TOCJ.  Haven't spun in a while.

I don't think I've ever even heard of his Don't Look Back LP, so definitely hope that gets reissued.

Don't know anything about this outfit, but apparently they have put a remastered Don't Look Back out on vinyl. https://thevinylfactory.com/news/harold-vick-dont-look-back-vinyl/

Will this be vinyl and download only, or will there be a CD?

There is a cd option. I can’t decide if I want the LP or the CD.

I pre-ordered from ImportCD's directly.  $4 cheaper than Amazon pre-order.

It's "one" for Shirley, but it also sounds like it's one for Vick as well — he lets loose.

Nice!  Off the top of my head, I don't think I have an album of Billy Higgins with organ.  I'll be picking this one up.

Then you should look for this one.

Yes, l think it's Steppin out. And I also have it as a TOCJ.

Haven't played it myself in a long while. Probably couldn't find it right now, what with the flat move of a couple of years ago. But that I haven't played it doesn't mean it's no good. More that I don't know where it is . And I remember it being an interesting souljazz thing.

That one also looks interesting. With lots of West Coast players.

Good old Gilles

Gilles Peterson is also behind this reissue? The reissue projects he gets behind usually are quite interesting.
