Thanks all for the replies, but a lot of the suggestions, respectfully, are not in the category I'm seeking. 

I have been exploring some of June Christy's early non-LP tracks, and I think there are some great examples there.  I will post examples when I spend more time with them.

Thanks!  I have the Belden but am unfamiliar with the other.  The bass clarinet credit is indeed a very good sign!
