I don’t remember the Cleveland recording Bartok - the Guarneri Quartet released a set of the six quartets for RCA in the early 1980s, which were good but not exceptional or unique in their interpretation IMHO.

Just got email that Cleveland Quartet RCA recordings have been issued on 23 CD box set which includes Schubert Cello Quintet with Ma on cello originally issued ton CBS Masterworks

Aren't Archivemusic releases cdrs? That was my experience for the single order I placed with them.

Would be interested .... but definitely not buying CDR's ....

I came fairly close to putting in an order on Amazon (where it is back-ordered) but I just have so many classical box sets that I can't sell back to any music stores in Toronto that it just isn't worth it.  It looks like a solid majority of the recordings are on streaming sites, so I think I'll just satisfy the itch that way.
