Looks like it was on Queen St W and just down the way from the Rex Hotel, which still survives as a live jazz venue. Looking at pictures of the Victorian era building for the club it was recognisable to me and I will have walked past it on my way to the Rex many times back in the day. Now demolished though. I wonder if Mosaic will consider doing a ‘Jim Hall Complete Live’ box with the Don Thompson recordings also made at this venue for A&M? Haven't those already been reissued? Doesn't mean they couldn't be again. Quote

Ah - forgot about that. Maybe there is a case now but for a Mosaic with sonic enhancements? Quote
pglbook Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) I received my set this afternoon and look forward to playing the music the next few days. Edited May 26, 2020 by pglbook Quote
gmonahan Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 Set #365 finally made its way across the country and arrived today. I'm listening to disc 1. One thing I hadn't thought of: Mosaic licensed the Telarc stuff from Concord Music Group. Is that the first time Mosaic has ever licensed anything from Concord? Does that mean it could theoretically get in to the Riverside/Fantasy/Prestige/Milestone vaults? Hope springs eternal! Quote

dougcrates Posted May 28, 2020 Report Posted May 28, 2020 Concord also control the Savoy Label Group now: https://concord.com/concord-news/concord-music-acquires-renowned-savoy-label-group/ Quote
bebopbob Posted May 28, 2020 Author Report Posted May 28, 2020 Should Mosaic venture into the Concord Vaults, Id like to propose: The Complete Emily Remler Concord Jazz Recordings The Complete Ed Bickert Concord Jazz Recordings Quote

Moreover, would Concord be interested in licensing the rights to another company? Quote
jazzbo Posted May 28, 2020 Report Posted May 28, 2020 I wouldn't be surprised if there were more in the vault, and perhaps they could license some of her other leader or prominent side-woman appearances. Certainly remains to be seen if Concord will lease. . . but it's a different world now than perhaps when last they tried. Quote

JSngry Posted May 28, 2020 Report Posted May 28, 2020 I was told last week that they were already in place and would begin shipping this week...but long weekend and unusual circumstances, ok. Quote
JSngry Posted May 29, 2020 Report Posted May 29, 2020 And jsut now i was told that the product is indeed in the warehouse, but is still being collated for shipment next week. Quote
Lyin' Wolf Posted May 29, 2020 Report Posted May 29, 2020 Does anyone know how many sets are in each production run? Quote
JSngry Posted June 4, 2020 Report Posted June 4, 2020 I got my shipping notice today, it's due here on Friday. For the record, Scott has been very gracious about, and during, this whole thing. That counts! Quote
JSngry Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 I've been using the UPS Follow My Delivery tool for the last 3-4 hours, and I swear to god, it it was SOP to just get in the car, go find the truck, and pick it up there, I'd have had this damn thing, like 3 hours ago! Quote
JSngry Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 Delivered! By a UPS driver driving a Penske truck! "Why is your truck YELLOW?" "They outta trucks agin, man." So, true story. Quote
Lush Life Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 Received my shipping notice today. I learned a valuable lesson: always open Mosaic e-mails as soon as you spot them in your Inbox. I ordered this box the "next day" after the original email, and missed completely the first run of this set. Quote
mjzee Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 Mine is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. Quote
JSngry Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 See if it comes in a Penske. Because apparently UPS be runnin out of trucks. Quote
