Barry Harris has been one of my very favorite jazz musicians for about 60 years. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to first hear him a number of times in Detroit prior to his moving to New York. Also heard him quite a few other times over the many decades in places like New York City and Toronto.

It was good to have  the chance to speak with him on a few occasions.
