HutchFan Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 Hooray for Sesame Street! I'm 52 years old, so the timing of the program was PERFECT for me. Watched it every day as a kid. Quote

And I have a Marcos Valle album (Brazilian) which was done (at the beginning of the 70s) I don't know if inspired by it or as an original soundtrack to some episodes. It's very good, and it has that crazy Far-Near things plus very Sesame Street music. Edited February 26, 2020 by Bluesnik Quote

JSngry Posted February 27, 2020 Report Posted February 27, 2020 Speaking of Big Bird - if you're a Van Dyke Parks buff, look for a copy of Follow That Bird, a totally delightful Sesame Street feature-length picture with a equally totally delightful score and songs by Parks. We bought it for the kids back in the day, but I found myself sitting down to it myself more than once, just for Parks' music. Quote
Gheorghe Posted February 29, 2020 Report Posted February 29, 2020 Sesame Street: A big hit among us boys (our little group of jazz fans then) was the version of the theme, done by the Singers Unlimited with Oscar Peterson. Quote
