Yes, his rhythm section from that period was the great Eric Gravatt, Novosel, and a pianist named Gene Rush, who fit his conception beautifully. Not familiar with Rush apart from those early McNeill records. Quote

'Asha' is a desert island disc for me. 'Tanner Suite' isn't really jazz, more classical-minded. Quote
